Looking to change the approval process. I check the IP before considering approval. Process requires to select moderate option and then select permanent.

Is there an easy way to set the default to permanent moderation for new applications?

Go to ACP>Configuration>Settings>User Registration and Profile Options>Registration Method>Administrator Activation

Familiar with the instructions. However, do not see an option to change the default to moderation. Already using admin activation. Goal is to reduce the step to select permanent.

I cannot find how to stop people from automatically registering, joining without approval.

I want registration to be by approval first.

I had to set a password on the Forum to stop all people from posting.

So; the forum is inactive due to not being able to find the correct setting.
