Hi,

A bit of advice needed please.

I am searching for forum software for our staff forum. We want the staff members only to have access so no one else can view the content.

Also, we need to have an automatic email alert sent to the staff's emails each time a post in made in a room - but this needs to be customisable, so we can edit who receives which notifications.

Having the option to add our company branding later down the line would be good too.

Could you let me know if MyBB can do all of these things?

Also, are there any limitations people have experienced that I should be aware of?

Many thanks for your help!
Stef.

Can you explain this a bit more? Email subscriptions are a core feature, but I'm not sure what you mean by this. Everything else is possible with MyBB too.
Ok, thanks.

We want a number of 'rooms' (I guess you'd call them?) with different headings - so 1) Staff notices 2) coffee break room, etc, etc. What I need is to be able to set up each member so they receive an email notification to their inbox to let them know that a post has been made and a link to that post. However, I don't want staff to receive an email for every post that is posted in the whole forum, just ones that MUST be read. So, for example:

Room 1 - Staff Notices - all staff must receive emails to say a post has been made
Room 2 - Coffee break - No staff should receive a post - as there could be a lot of chatty posts here
Room 3 - Marketing meetings - we have core marketing staff who should receive emails, but the other staff should not.

I hope this is clear!

Thanks
Stef.

Read that and you should come to conclusion that for example you can subscribe manually to this forum http://community.mybb.com/forum-127.html by clicking "Subscribe to this forum" but you can avoid subscription in this forum http://community.mybb.com/forum-158.html if you don't click anything.
