Currently, that's what I have. Right now, I'm trying to think of what to do with the colors. I think the orange + black goes well together (with the background). However, I'm not quite sure how to do the other parts. Any ideas on how I could better this theme?

I've tried to start making the theme for the forum, but I can't come up with any good ideas for blending, or if I should even keep the galaxy background.

It's difficult to get the colours right that's for sure. I've spent too long looking and changing things myself, to the point where I end up going round in circles.

I find it helps to look over other sites to give you some good contrast ideas, go for big name sites as they usually have real design engineers who are the best in their game. You don't have to copy thier ideas but it gives you a good foundation to build upon.

I'm still not happy with my site but with little tweeks here and there it's starting to come together

All the best and I hope you don't give up with it, as it's all too easy to get frustrated and pull the plug.. I nearly did several times
