Hey everyone!
I need help installing themes in my newely setup forum. I've tried everything that is written in the docs and how to install mybb themes tuts, but still not working. Getting the following error message
Quote:The following errors were encountered:
MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.

Please guide me. Thanks
have you seen this --> How To Install A MyBB Theme
if that doesn't help then check if you can use the attachments system with posts on your forum
Did all that, followed the complete tut step by step, still it gives the same error.
And I did used the attachments, that worked fine.
try like this --> upload the xml file of the theme to forum's main folder. then on the theme's page try url method to import

Okay that worked, THANK YOU. But the images are not working. Where should I put them? I am using http://mods.mybb.com/view/8e theme, have the 8e folder that contains all the images in the images directory of mybb installation. 8e folder has images and some subfolders of images too.
^ can we have your forum url to check
in general, /images/8e should be the folder consisting the images of the theme 8e
Yes here it is http://chemistknight.com/community/
And if you see the preview of the theme link I gave, you'll know that the images are not working.
And yes it is exactly /images/8e but somehow its not working.
^ check permissions of files and folders

you can also see the report shown at the bottom of tools & maintenance section of admin panel

Its all fine.

Tried the http://mods.mybb.com/view/a-royal-past-theme and it works fine. Still did not upload from the computer, had to upload it to the root and import via url, but it worked.
So is there something wrong with the 8e theme? Whats wrong?
