So my host is kinda out of hand lately so i decided to move to other hosts.

so, when we move to other hosts, we have to do a backup on the databases right?

my question is, do we need to have another fresh install of mybb or we can simply download our files from the old host and upload them to the new host?

also what other things are needed in changing host besides the backing and restoring databases and editing the inc/config.php?

and another question, after uploading, restoring and everything else on this new host, do we need to alter the configurations again? like the permissions of the users, boards etc.?

You will have to change your config file to suit the new host.
All permissions should be kept in tact if things are done correctly.

but do we have to install a new mybb or just upload the files from my old host?

Use the same files, it will limit the amount of problems that can occur.
