I have a link in my header that goes to balloftech.com, and my forums are installed at forums.balloftech.com. But when I click on the link to balloftech.com, it goes to forums.balloftech.com/balloftech.com. How can I make it go to balloftech.com?

You must include the protocol, otherwise the browser thinks it's relative to the current directory.

So instead of linking to balloftech.com, you should link to http://balloftech.com.
