Hello all,

I am requesting some help in switching the domain on my mybb while keeping the existing forum intact.

My forum is http://forum.utopianchaos.com/forumz

I had someone attempt to move it and it "moved" but the functionality does not seem to be working...ie I cannot login. The new URL is here:

http://forum.digitaltcg.com/

I am not sure if there are some settings that the guy that helped me did not know or if we have to do something else to move the forums intact.

I am willing to paypal someone - let me know what were looking at to get this completed and we can go from there!

I greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

open ./inc/settings.php file in a code editor and put correct cookie settings. log into admin panel
and navigate to general configuration settings. put the correct cookie settings again.

see more details here --> cookies related guidance
Thank you very much! This worked. It seems that the navigation on the top of the forum (view new posts, todays posts) as well as when you click on a users name to go to their profile still directs to the old URL. Is there any way to update "all" links?

Thanks in advance!

^ they all appear to be manually coded. you can use search and replace feature available for templates (with care)

see this guidance --> templates - search & replace
Thank you for your response. I attempted a find and replace by saying "find" http://forum.utopianchaos.com/forumz/ and "replace with" http://forum.digitaltcg.com - I clicked on find and replace and it says: No templates were found containing the string 'http://forum.utopianchaos.com/forumz/'

This is strange because that is the path of the hard coded links...so how could it not find it?
navigate to below location and check the url used for the forum

admin panel >> configuration >> settings >> General Configuration --> Board URL <-- should be http://forum.digitaltcg.com
That is what I currently have it set as.

It seems that even if people try to use any of their user functionality, PM's viewing user profiles its looking for the old information.

Is there any way i can throw you my admin user/pass? I don't mind paypal'ing you something for your efforts, you have been a great help thus far!

Bump.
