It's a genuine question.

In April 2012 we were about to see the impending MyBB 1.8 ...

Soon the excitement hit a massive wall of harsh responses from one or two senior members but specially from some forum non-staff unconditional fans.

18 months later even 1.6 looks pretty much abandoned and the life of this community is gone.

Nothing that wasn't unpredictable at all beforehand, looking at the way that genuinely interested people were often chased away.

So, what's going on?

We had a similar thread recently where several issues were discussed. I feel this thread may head again in the same direction.

Precisely. OP, if you have any concerns please post in Private Inquires and they will be addressed there. We've already stated countless times the situation and it really doesn't need yet another public discussion.
