Well it time my server for my web server is on its last legs. So my plan is to setup my MySql to be on my external hard drive instead of my C drive since i have to change out to a 64 gb flash drive to keep the os on and everything else will be an external hard drives but how in the world do you ever post online is like a 40 step processes is there a way i can export MySQL schemas and then re import them or do i have to go re install all my MySQL files including the mybb website i just finished working on?

I would strongly disadvise against hosting a database offf an external hard drive. Are you using linux? You can just stop MySQL, move the data files, then create symlinks.

its windows and my plan was to use the 5 western digital 2tb externals for different things like one was going to be for game servers one for mysql 2 for user data then get a few more to back up to.
