Need help ..
I want to start a section called "news" on my mybb forum. When viewing the forum the default display is ex:
Threads | Replies | Views | Last Post Date
-----------------------------------------------
Topic 1 | 5 | 100 | 10-01-2013
Topic 2 | 3 | 200 | 10-01-2013
Topic 3 | 2 | 300 | 10-01-2013
Is it possible to display "Summary" below each Topic. By summary I mean the starting 100 or 200 characters of the text inside that post.
ex:
Topic 1 | 5 | 100 | 10-01-2013
(this is a brief info about this topic. This is the 1st 200 characters of the Message section of Topic 1.)

Topic 2 | 3 | 200 | 10-01-2013
(this is a brief info about this topic. . This is the 1st 200 characters of the Message section of Topic 2.)

Secondly, is it at all possible to do this only for my "news" section and not other sections.
