install & activate this plugin --> http://mods.mybb.com/view/force-postbit-layout
then navigate to below location
admin panel >> configuration >> settings >> Show Thread Options --> Post Layout
--> select Display posts using the classic layout and save the settings

bro problum now adsense banner not showing on the index

I doubt it has anything to do with the plugin M suggested. What happens when you disable the plugin? Does the ad come back?
