Hello all!

Is it possible to run MyBB Forum Software on a regular hosting plan (Shared), or do I need a Dedicated Server and/or VPS?

Lets say 500 people visit my Forum a day, with 50 to 100 at one time, does that call for Dedicated/VPS Service?!? The main reason I'm asking, is because I don't want my site to lag.

Any and all help much appreciated.

shared hosting should be sufficient however quality of the web host (& web server) should be also considered

I go through HostGator, good or bad?!?

hostgator shared hosting should be fine assuming that you do not use a ajax chat / ajax based gallery / slideshows
