I just got this error;

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1040 - Too many connections
Query:
[READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server

What happened? How do I fix/resolve this?

Also, how can I prevent this in the future?

Ok, ty. But what does it mean? Not enough space, lost connection, etc.?
