By change, if you mean to "replace" with another image, then Go to your theme's images folder ./images/YOUR-THEME'S-IMAGE-FOLDER/ and search for;
dot_newfolder.gif (for newposts)
dot_folder.gif (for no new posts)
Notice which image/icon you want to "replace?" because these may be different in your theme.
