I tried to edit a forum and set its parent to None. It wouldn't allow me to do that. Why is the None option there if it's not a valid one? Is there a way to do it? Or would I have to hide the category with CSS to accomplish that?

if you want to hide a forum from the index page then you can use css method. there is also
a plugin for it
Oh right. I wanted to see what it looks like without a category table header. I think on vanilla or phpbb you can put a forum without a category. Thanks.
