What was your MyBB version before upgrade to 1.6.11?
Make sure you've not uploaded any "non-plugin" file in ./inc/plugins/ folder.

It's the language files that are causing this issue. Dylan and I figured it out Saturday after this happened to me on a site upgrade on a brand new install with only a couple of plugins installed, one of which isnt' even activated yet.
This doesn't affect all of them but we're not sure which ones it does specifically, so copy any plugin language file into the admin language file as well.
For example:
your original language file is in:
inc > languages > english
You now need a copy in:
inc > languages > english > admin
KEEP THE SAME FILE IN THE ORIGINAL DIRECTORY AS WELL. This means you will have the same language file in two places.
We found some plugins will break if you remove it and put it only in the admin file.
I also found this for you to give a try.
Seems the admins are on this and I'm not sure that they applied the fix in the download files.

Resolved!
The problem was due to a file 0 bytes in inc/plugins/temp
THANKS!!!

Is ./temp folder in ./inc/plugins folder associated to any plugin or its empty? If its empty then you probably have uploaded files to the forum directories im-properly. You should delete that folder too.

I think, too.
