Why not just go to ACP>>Users & Groups find the user check the checkbox scroll to the bottom of the page and in Inline User Moderation select Prune/Delete user posts.

He deleted the user.
That's interesting. If the user is deleted then what username is displayed on their post and their profile?

His old username, except it will not allow you to link to it, etc. It will just be his username (not a hyperlink)
No profile for that deleted user, however his username saved inside the posts table. So he has to use the above mentioned queries (either of them) to remove those traces.
You should probably report it as a bug!

Its not a bug actually. Its how thing works. You can't kill a person twice.
The method by manually deleting them from the database with phpMyAdmin will work, as said above.
Most of bots (at my forum) cannot pass e-mail activation...
