I added the recent posts widget,although its shown on header,i want to move it in right size.how?

you have to remove its variable from the header template or index template and try it in the sidebar box

IIRC, earlier you had mentioned
Recent Posts Forum Index plugin
its variable is
$recentposts and plugin hook is
index_start. so
{$recentposts} works only on the
index related templates
