Hi,

I have installed some spam prevention plugins I can find, but still getting over 100 registrations a day.

If I check the stats on the security questions plugin, it nowhere near matches the amount of registrations I've had. If I manually register and answer the question, the stats do increment so they are working. It makes me think that the bots are somehow bypassing recaptcha and the security questions. Is this possible? How else can I stop them?

I have a hidden captcha field
I have the securtiy questions plugin with custom (non number) questions
I have recaptcha
I have Stop Forum Spam installed

you can try using alternate plugin for the security questions --> signup questions
or you can try this patch for registration security questions plugin

Make new questions.
What I found useful is adding a new field in registration that asks why the user signed up.
If they leave it empty I put posts on moderation, bots haven't answered it once.

I wonder if this could have something to do with bots not running JavaScript.

Stop using reCaptcha and use SolveMedia...

You'll see the diference.
