Hi guys how can I add date of birth on registration without the plugin and COPPA?
Not possible without the plugin or coppa. Of course could do it with core edit but the plugin does it almost as fast as it without editing files so once again I recommend using plugin in this case.

User Registration and Profile Options
scroll down for
COPPA Compliance and set it
enabled.
save the settings
if required, see

I like COPPA but I just want users to provide their date of birth and not to restrict registration
