MyBB Community Forums

I have been following instructions to install myBB, and have so far created the directory "forum" on my website (i.e. www.mywebsite.com/forum), and uploaded the contents of the "upload" folder into it.

My problem is that now when I go to www.mywebsite.com/forum/install, I get a 404 error saying the page does not exist and so I can't start the installer.

I would really appreciate some help as I am stuck and not sure where to go from here.

Did you actually go to http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/install (literal)?

If you didn't then you probably typed something wrong or didn't upload everything.

The website address I gave was just an example and not my actual website, sorry for the confusion - I should have made it clearer.

I don't think it can be a problem with typing or not uploading everything, as I've tried removing the upload folder and reuploading from scratch just in case, with no success.

i you go to http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/ do you get the same error? Can you provide me with FTP access and the link to your forum if you still can't get it to work in PM.

When I go to www.mywebsite.com/forum it shows me a list of the folders in my website including the upload folder, but if I click on it I get a board not installed message.

I've sent a PM with the website address and FTP details as I still can't get it to work
