Hi,

I'm having issues with a MyBB installation I just set up. Various posts by users randomly get posted in the future.

For example, there may be Post 1 posted at 0000 hrs, Post 2 posted 15 minutes after, but instead showing up at 1015 hrs. This of course messes up things like recent activity and chronological order or posts.

I had changed the board's Date Time settings in ACP to GMT+8 (from whatever was its default), but this is before users started signing up today.

This isn't only affecting posts, it affects active logins as well. Some users have a last active time set hours in the future, clogging up the Who's Online list.

This happens randomly and does not affect all the users on the forum.

I'm using a new installation of MyBB 1.6.11.

Please advise.

hmmm can you supply the url of your site ?
Was hoping to avoid it lol, but here.
http://www.pokemonsg.com/

Edit: I've already fixed the posts in SQL (for now), but if you look at the Who's Online list you can see loads of stuck "last actives".

there does not appear to be a problem everything appears as it should .. what browser are you using ?
Any browser.

To see this clearly, scroll down to Board Statistics, under Who's Online, click ReignOfComputer (me). See the Last Visit time, that's the current time. Click any of the other users and note that their Last Visit times are way in the future.

This happens to posts too, I just have them fixed for now.
Perhaps it's just your timezone setting that's wrong?
The board's using GMT+8, and so are all the users (including me). It's obviously not just a simple timezone display issue because it doesn't make sense to see users and posts from two different timezones being recorded where I end up seeing posts and activity "from the future".
seems okay to me. when i click on the user link for the last post as listed in the index page for a given forum, the last visit in the profile is after the last post in the forum.

have you tried checking the times as a guest?
Seems like an issue with your server timezone settings then.

Right now, GMT should show 10:07pm. On your registration screen, GMT shows as 6:07am.
Probably a stupid question but... How do I change the server time zone settings? I'm hosted off GoDaddy.
