Hi there to all. I'm running mybb forum for a year now and I've noticed big discrepancies between google analytics and current forum statistics. for example, I always have at least 20-30 guests browsing my forum that is shown in the bottom of the forum. If I go on google analytics at the same time and check out the real time overview there are significantly less users browsing the forum. for eample, at this moment I have 23 guests browsing the forum, but on google analytics real time I can see only three users. I understand that this might be due to different refresh rates, but still this is a big difference.

What does that mean? Could someone explain it?

Thank you!
Mybb stat works with real time where as Google checks a webpage only once each quarter. So Mybb statistics is somehow more precision and trusted.
sure I understand. What made me suspicious is the fact that I have never seen at least similar if not the same number of visitors at the same time or at least at the same time frame on my forum stats and on g stats. and the differences are always huge. at this moment I have 35 guests browsing the forum, while there's only 5 people on the forum according to g analytics.... that's why I'm asking this. thanks for your reply anyway!
Google analytics has real time report which is better than mybb stats because it only shows real users and doesn't show crawlers and bots
MyBB's online list is the past 15 minutes where as the realtime Google analytics is right at the given moment. Google analytics also requires Javascript which many people do not allow and bots will not execute.
