yeah, instead of :

/thread.php?tid=5&page=3

be:

/thread/name-of-thread/page3.html

I heard it helps on getting better rank and stuff.
I've just implemented this in to 1.4.

However, the functionality is more like t1234.html and t1234-4.html.
That's a nice addition there, Chris.. Good job! Smile
Yes. MyBB is the best free forum system out there ! I can't wait for 1.4
I bet 1.4 is going to be BOOOM!Big Grin
I liked how the old url looked, html doesn't sound right.
the board is supposed to be powered by php and urls should have php in it.
You don't have to use them if you don't want there is an option in the acp that you can turn off if you don't want it to be on. Just because it's powered by PHP urls don't have to have php in them. In fact the whole point of SEO is that it supposedly improves your ranking on search engines by allowing them to index more things quicker and deal with less complex URL's.
Then its okay if it is optional.
Not only that, but some servers don't support it so it has to be optional

I'm glad to hear this, because any half decent search engine has no trouble indexing PHP URLs.
