no it just helping out to secure the forum so he knows that it need to be chnaged instead of default other wise it can cause trouble later in future

Eg here at community mybb they do not use the defult admin link it been change for security reasons

We know this. However, providing links to something completely off-topic can not only confuse the individual, but lead them to believe the original issue has been fixed.

Good ambition, just not required in support threads.

As for the OP's original issue. I'm not sure if you are talking about posting, and how when you post, it provides a loading image (much like JimR's), and then it doesn't actually load the post in.

Or are you talking about threads not showing on the index page?

The fault is user counters are not updated in real time ... I would guess this to be a cache issue
