I'm currently trying to take all of the images away and replace them with css.. Tho this is the only problem I currently have,

CSS, but Don't know how to change from threads ?

Currently no live preview, doing this on my localhost... a new theme in progress.

What do you mean by threads? Do you mean from the threads that use those icons? If so just replacing the icon images will change them (or should). Since you want to use only .CSS I'd suggest that you go into the templates and change them around (should be located under your theme's templates, in either Show Thread or Forum Display).
