I have two suggestions related to adding a poll to a thread.
The first is a direct link to add a poll to a thread that already exists. Currently, in order to add a poll you have to edit the first post and check the add poll box. It would be easier if there was a direct link to add a poll from the show thread page.
Something simple, something like this:

The link would only show to the thread creator (and moderators) if there already isn't a poll.
The second option I would like to see added is an option that allows you to limit how long someone has to add a poll to their thread.
