Something suddenly changed with the Default Timezone Offset. It has always (for 5 years) displayed the time correctly, but now it shows GMT as being 6 hours ahead of what GMT actually is.

At the time of writing GMT is 23:59 but in my board settings if GMT is selected it shows as 05:59.

Is this a mybb issue or has something gone wrong on my server?

Any insight gratefully appreciated.

EDIT: I'm convinced it must be a server issue because the timestamps in the database are wrong (6 hours ahead)

Have you checked to see that your user settings are not effecting by daylight savings time? Sometimes that can cause some issues.

Try using ntp to update your server's time so that the random offset can be fixed.
