we can have a quick new thread form on the forum display pages. opening thread on top of forum display is not
easily possible. may be we can show forum display on the threads with a plugin (eg. xThreads) / additional coding

darn. went and paid for silver and ended up the plugin just posts to every forum, but replies in one forum don't propagate to the others. disappointed... Hmmm...
Well MyBB has disappointed me infrequently... so...
If you have any other ideas that aren't going to require a ton of work, please let me know. Something like an announcement that people can reply to.
phpbb has this and really would like to replicate it somehow.
