IPB has an easy way to change the logo in the top left hand corner - it works the same way as a uploading a user's avatar. That would be good to have (unless it's there already and I missed it).

No, but you got a easy way of changing it still, just upload your image to your ftp server and change it in ACP -> Themes -> Modify / Delete -> *your theme* -> And input the url within Forum Logo.
Not as easy as having a upload feature but.
