Hello everybody!

I just updated a myBB 1.6.10 installation to 1.6.11 and ran into the said error. After a bit of fiddling around I tracked the error down to wrong file and directory permissions in the 'Changed Files Package'.

After unzipping, files had 664 instead of 644, and directories had 775 instead of 755.

I'm using Linux (Ubuntu) as my Desktop OS, while myBB runs on a shared host; the files are uploaded through FTP.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

assuming that your forum is on Linux based server and you are using ftp client like filezilla,
it should not be difficult to change permissions of folders & files (see how to chmod if required)
