MyBB Community Forums

Hi there!
I installed Mybb on my website and it was installed successfully without any error. I logged in as Admin and created catagories and forums but as soon as i click on any forum or category name, it shows the page not found.
Please see attached picture.

Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

your forum folder at the files server has a text file named htaccess.txt - rename it as .htaccess (file name starts with a dot)

yeh. you are missing htaccess file.

I updated the file to .htaccess but i am still getting same error!

^ navigate to below location and disable Search Engine Friendly URLs
admin panel >> configuration >> settings >> Server and Optimization Options --> Enable search engine friendly URLs?
select disabled and save the settings. also rename .htaccess as htaccess.txt

Thanks buddy! its working fine now. Problem was server and optimisation options.
