I'm trying to enable Email Confirmation on my website to stop spammers etc, however it doesn't seem to work? Can anyone help? Here are my settings - http://i.imgur.com/nxHf1aB.png

It has worked before, It has stopped working all of a sudden?

Login to admin panel go to configuration->User Registration and Profile Options
change registration to email confirmation as shown below.

I've done that, but since the emails aren't working no email is sent.

Ok after a cup of coffee your posts are making a lot more sense. You need to post your error logs so that we can figure out what the problem is.
