I'm trying to add another table in showteam.php with a custom profile field (Skype) so people can easily contact staff. How can I do this? I tried $user['fidX'] and $user['Skype'] as well as some other things but no luck.

You will require a plugin to achieve this.

Honestly if you want to edit how people can do things with your staff team. Just create your own staff page. It's pretty easy to do and there is a guide to do it on the forum.
