So i have done this a million times before and it has always work when installing mybb but today i was creating a website and if i put my domain name for the MySQL database like(ex test.com:3306) it doesn't work but if i put in (ex 189.172.189.4) it works is there a way i can change that since one sometimes twice a year my ip changes its easier to just change on place instead of a billion? why doesn't it work??

server canot contact betwen Doomain name for that you are obligate to put there server IP

Are you sure that port have been enabled to do this, because sometimes hostings change your common ports for security reasons.

Or sometimes make restrictions with domain names, if you use your ip and the port this task goes fine?
