It would be nice to have a feature like this.

Why not announcements?

I think this would be a good idea as well.

You can't reply to announcements... and announcements disappear, they do not 'unstick'.

ahan right... Time to introduce "cron jobs" in MyBB too, eh?

As of now we don't need cron jobs I think, this can be done with a simple function. Of course, if no one visits that day it won't get unstuck. But it will get unstuck when a user does visit. As all functions work for MyBB.

I was wondering if this will be included or not.
