I've just now disabled lite archive mode for my sites. There is some plugins too for mobile version.
I've myself hit upon an idea that the lite archive version is indeed pretty suitable for mobile devices.

- a rel=canonical meta tag in the lite version to the main version
- a rel="alternate" meta tag in the original version to the lite version page ( the details are here: https://developers.google.com/webmasters...es/details)
- adding mobile detection capability. I've the working code to detect the device
