hiya guys,

i have just been told that new registrations to my forum are not receiving an email notification.

i have the board set to admin authorisation but i thought that once i had activated a member they would get an activation email. It seems not.

have i missed a setting somewhere ?

cheers,
No. Once you manually active a user there is no need as you act as the activation.
yea but how do they know i've activated them..

i use admin activation to keep the spammers out, but those i approve i want them to get a notification so they know, just the same as i get with ipb and phpbb and vB.
Currently there is no feature that will automatically send out a 'welcome message' once they are activated.
Make sure that, your host allow you to use SMTP
MyBB doesn't use SMTP...
i'm fine with post notifications etc so that isn't the problem..

i just want to have new members emailed when their application is approved.

maybe someone can write a mod.
there is one that emails me when folk register maybe that can be adapted.

sorry, i'd do it myself but haven't the first clue how to.
no takers then Sad
Modifications don't get written overnight ...
apologies...weak joke mate..

i know it'll take time ..
