Hello So i just made a forum today, I was wondering how do it edit a theme? Is that possible? and I installed a Like & Thanks plugin but the buttons aren't showing

if the plugin installed and configured in correct way then its button should be visible on the topics pages
Can you edit a theme downloaded from the theme library & I'm New to all this installing plugin stuff, is there a video or thread that can show me how to do it the "Correct way" ?
