I am in the process of changing my host - its a long story.
but several of the directories where various functions/web sites, etc are going to have to change.

so I have been experimenting with the ones that need to move, and I have them all functional. except mybb

when I move it from /domainname/mybb to /mybb/ it stops functioning.

yes I know I have to repoint to that directory, and I did that. all the other functions/stats/databases/etc. have worked with a simple move/update pointers, but not mybb

is there some setting in the program im missing?

note I made this change, back and forth, a couple times in case it was a time delay issue, but it died instantly upon moving/changing the pointer, and it awoke again upon moving back/changing the pointer back.

thanks. this is the last detail before I change hosting companies (and move to cpanel so I wont have to deal with this again)

Have you made sure your cookie setting have been set correctly?

an excellent suggestion, as I HAVE had that issue in the past.
But im not changing the URL, just the location of the files in the hosting server.

so that's not it

What exactly doesn't work? Link to site?

I didn't link, cause nothing at all comes up, and I moved it back

Note; just moved it, and now I get a http 404 not found

If you want to move your files from http://www.nbsclan.net/mybb/ to http://www.nbsclan.net/, you need to move the files from /domainname/mybb/ to /domainname/.

I think that's what I did

here are the domains as set now
(before it was /domainname/mybb)

note; this is making me crazy, as ALL the other moves I did went fine except this one.
and now it works about every 5th time I click on it. I didn't change the hostnames, dns or anything else that would have to propagate, so I don't have a clue why it would act like this. unless web.com is having problems only when I move this site....

[edit] I think they are having issues. now that I left it on for a while, it seems to be working. but why would ALL the other changes I made take 1 second to implement, and this take over 5 minutes. just another reason to change hosts I guess.
