I was about to do the upgrade today and reading the docs where it says: "MySQL: You need your MySQL username, password, database name and the hostname or ip address of your MySQL server"
I login to my cpanel but password is not visible. My host support suggested: "You can try looking for your password inside configuration files of mybb or you can change it and use the new one when updating."

So how would I best go about this if I don't have the password?

./inc/config.php file has database login details - however upgrade process takes required details directly.
