I've had the forum a while now.

As part of an 'upgrade' my ISP corrupted the files on the server meaning I need to reinstall the software but I already have a DB populated so don't, or can't, use the install process. How do I bypass it?

Is it as simple as deleting the install folder after adding my details into the /inc/config file?

System down, for the record '1 and 1; are crap.
do not re-install MyBB. keep a backup of ./inc/config.php file and ./inc/settings.php file
and also take a backup of the database. just upload your MyBB files with the original files
of the installed version
(overwrite existing files except config.php & settings.php files)
