I need to copy my current forum installation, with customized settings, mods, and so on, to a new domain.

I'm assuming my first step would just be a straight folder/file copy into the new domain's root directory.

However, what's next? What settings need to be modified to point to the new domain other than those found in .htaccess? which DB settings?

any direction here would be greatly appreciated!

Make a backup of your DB and copy the entire directory (folder) where all MYBB files are stored!
Then you need to open /inc/settings.php file and search for any traces of your old domain replace it with you new domain!
