ASB has some images it uses, but I have inc set to 'deny from all'. Is there some way to allow general traffic through to just the ASB images folder? It's causing 100 errors a minute on the server.

Create a Directory or Location block in your .htaccess file granting permission to that one location before you deny access everywhere else.
