My board (snforum.net) keeps emaling me and my users when someone replies to a thread they posted in. I know this is something to do with subscribed threads and its getting annoying opening my inbox and seeing 300/400 odd emails from my forum each day saying So and so has replied to your thread

Is there ANY way to turn it off for everyone? using admin cp or a plugin?

Ask your users:

1) User CP --> Subscribed Threads. Click on "Remove All Subscriptions."
2) User CP --> Forum Subscriptions. Click "Unsubscribe" below each forum.
3) User CP --> Edit Options. Uncheck the setting "Automatically subscribe to threads you post in."
