Well, I've already made an issue at GitHub regarding this, but the feedback states its a natural behavior.

So I'm posting it here again for the opinion of the mass who are not much with GitHub. What do you think about this?
I've encountered with a strange issue which I wanted to bring to notice ...
I have a custom usergroup 'Designer' in my site.
I decided to make a user of that group moderator for the 'Design' section. So I went to:
ACP > Forums & Posts > Forum Management > {forum_name} > Moderators
and added that user as Moderator.
After that I decided not to give the ability to the single designer, so I went again to the same location and added the whole 'Designer' group as moderator.
Then the moderator list shown the group 'Designer' as well as the user in it.
Since the user is the member of the 'Designer' group only; I felt its a repetition and removed the user from the list.
Suddenly I've discovered that the user has lost the designer group and demoted to 'Registered'.
I tried the same steps several times and everytime the same thing has happened.
Is this supposed to behave that way or the user should remain member of that group after deletion from the moderators list?
Oh! I'm using v. 1.6.12.
