I moved to a new server and it has a terrible senderscore reputation. I still have a hosting account with the old server which has an excellent rep. Is there some way to re-route it through the old server ?
Use that host's mail server as yours, and set up your MX record to reflect that change.
i think i'm halfway there...
for the new server where my forum is currently hosted, i change DNS A record mail.mysite.com to point to the IP of my old server. is that correct?
what do i do in cpanel at the old server to accept the connection? at my old server i still have a mail.mysite.com mx entry from when my site was hosted there.
The DNS A record should point to the site where the forums are hosted. The DNS MX record should point to the old server.
i spent about 5 hours of my life on it and couldn't get it to work. nevermind man. i'm finished with it for now
