I got a new theme that uses lists to format the buttons, when I enable myalerts it just floats at the top, and when I try to add it to the list it just dissapears.

Here's the header code.
<div class="pane2">
<div id="darks-litle-menu">
<ul>
    <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/private.php"><img class="mover3" src="images/EvaBlack/mail.png"></a><span id="pm_notification">{$mybb->user['pms_unread']}</span></li>
    <li><a href="#"><img class="avatar3" src="{$mybb->user['avatar']}" width="27px" height="28px"/>  {$mybb->user['username']} ▼</a>
    <ul id="ms-des">
        <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/usercp.php">User CP</a></li>
        <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/member.php?action=profile&uid={$mybb->user['uid']}">View my profile</a></li>
        <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/usercp.php?action=avatar">Change Avatar</a></li>
        <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/usercp.php?action=editsig">Change Signature</a></li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/search.php?action=getdaily">Today's Messages</a></li>
    <myalerts_headericon>{$modcplink}
    {$admincplink}
    <li><a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/member.php?action=logout&amp;logoutkey={$mybb->user['logoutkey']}">Log Out</a></li>

I've tried adding it like that, if I do that the alerts just disappear completely.
I can't link the forums as they are highly NSFW and the theme is only visible to admins as it's still broken as hell (needs to be translated, multiple css fixes and whatnot).
can you see from page source: this variable <myalerts_headericon> changes to what code ?

Not entirely sure what you mean.
for example: in firefox go to your forum first page with new theme you say about in first post.
now press right click on page and chose view page source. so page sources opened.

now see this variable
<myalerts_headericon>
changes to what code on header codes ?

I figured it wouldn't be needed as it seems like an issue with the theme, not myalerts

it's a free theme, I sent you it just now. Keep in mind that the theme is outdated and not in english (I'm translating it myself).
