Yes I think MM should integrate it with MyBB as a feature

I didn't knew MyBB doesn't have that feature. MyBB really needs that feature.

The ability to assign a whole usergroup as moderator, for a specific forum, as opposed to just a single user.

Would be a really sweet feature to add into the next version of MyBB .

You should be able to assign individual users or a usergroup -- it would be a waste to create new usergroups for the different moderating assignments.
