This is a simple question but how do you post on the portal page? of your forum

Create a forum called "Portal Posts" or so, then go to: Admin CP -> Configuration -> Portal Settings -> "Forum ID to pull announcements from", change this to the forum ID of the portal settings.

How to get the Forum ID: Click "Edit Forum" in the options drop down near your forum isting for the portal posts forum, then the FID is in the URL: URL/admin/index.php?.....&fid=2
